What does a rebrand actually cost in the UK?
You've probably already done the thing where you open five studio websites, hunt for a price, and find nothing but "get in touch." Everyone wants you to book a call before they'll say a number.
So here's the number. Or rather, the range.
For a founder-led home and lifestyle brand, a full rebrand in the UK usually lands somewhere between £6,000 and £15,000. That's strategy, identity, and the assets you actually need to go to market, done properly by a studio that works in this space.
If that range made you wince or made you nod, both are useful. Here's what sits behind it.
What you're actually paying for
The logo is the cheap bit. What costs money is the thinking that makes the logo mean something.
A proper rebrand is roughly three jobs:
Working out what you stand for and who you're for.
Turning that into a look and a voice.
And building the things that carry it into the world: packaging, web, socials, the lot.
Skip the first job and you've bought a nice picture that doesn't know what it's doing.
What moves the price
How much strategy you need.
If you already know exactly who you are and just need it dressed properly, that's less work than starting from a blank page.
How many touchpoints.
A brand with one hero product and an Instagram is a smaller job than one with a fifteen-SKU range, a wholesale line sheet, and a trade stand.
Whether it's a rebrand or a refresh at all.
Not the same job, not the same price.
The cheaper rungs
Not every brand needs the full thing, and I'd rather say that than sell it to you.
There's usually a middle option, a guided or done-with-you format, that lands around £1,500 for founders who want expert eyes without the full build.
And there's the genuinely DIY route, a self-guided tool you work through yourself, closer to £200.
It won't hold your hand, but it'll get a clear-headed founder a long way.
One honest thing
Cheap branding isn't the risk people think it is.
The real cost is a brand that keeps your product looking ordinary while the founder next to you charges more for something similar. That gap compounds, quietly, every month you leave it.

Often, yes, but not always. It's worth it when your brand is actively holding your price down or costing you the rooms you want to be taken seriously in, like a buyer meeting or a wholesale pitch. If the business is still finding its feet and the brand is merely a bit rough, your money usually works harder elsewhere first. The test is whether the brand is losing you money now, not whether it's imperfect.

For a founder-led brand, a full rebrand typically runs six to ten weeks from kickoff to finished assets. Strategy and the back-and-forth on direction take the time; the design moves faster once the thinking is settled. A refresh or a guided format is quicker, often two to four weeks.

A logo is one asset. A rebrand is the whole story: who you're for, what you stand for, how you look, how you sound, and everything that carries it, from packaging to your website. Buying a logo on its own is why so many brands end up with something pretty that doesn't know what it's for.
