Working
Together
You’ve built something worth hearing, and we’re here to help it sound unmistakably yours.
These T&C‘s explain how we’ll work together, what you can expect from us, and what helps us do our best work for you.
It’s not just admin. It’s the rhythm that keeps the project flowing.
How we work
01. Scope of Work
Every project begins with a clear proposal that outlines what’s included.
If new ideas or needs pop up along the way (and they often do), we’ll chat about them first and agree on any additional costs before moving forward.
02. Process & Collaboration
Our process runs through six stages, from discovery to launch, each with
defined deliverables and time for feedback. To keep things on track, your input and approvals are key. If feedback or materials are delayed, the schedule may shift accordingly.
03. Communication
We keep things streamlined through email or your project workspace.
You can expect replies within two business days. Calls or meetings are scheduled during agreed studio hours so we can stay focused on the work itself.
Clear, consolidated feedback helps everything move faster and smoother.
04. Revisions
Each design stage includes up to two rounds of refinements. If bigger changes or a new direction are needed, we’ll pause to review scope and cost before continuing. This keeps things balanced and intentional.
Money, time & boundaries
05. Payment Terms
A 50% non-refundable deposit secures your project start date.
The remaining balance is due when final files are ready for handover, unless otherwise agreed in writing. Invoices are due within 30 days of issue.
If payment isn’t received by the due date, a late fee of 1.5% of the outstanding balance (or £70, whichever is greater) will apply for each week overdue.
06. Paid Time Policy
All time spent on your project including calls, reviews, or strategy sessions outside the scheduled ones, is billable at the standard rate.
These moments are part of the creative process and add up quickly, so we keep them tracked and transparent.
07. Boundaries & Booking
Each project has dedicated studio days set aside.
Ad-hoc requests, unscheduled edits, or quick-turn jobs outside these windows can’t always be accommodated. Any new work will be quoted and booked formally before it begins, this keeps timelines fair for all clients.
08. Rush Work
If you need something turned around urgently (outside normal hours,
weekends, or with a compressed timeline), a 50% rush fee applies.
That covers the extra energy and hours it takes to make it happen without compromising quality.
09. Day Rate & Annual Review
Our day rate reflects the full scope of skill, experience, and creative value we bring to each project.
Rates are reviewed annually and typically increase by 10% each tax year to stay aligned with inflation and industry standards.
10. Paying for Experience
With 14+ years in design and brand strategy, speed comes from mastery, not shortcuts. If something takes half the time because of that experience, the value remains the same. You’re not paying for hours. You’re paying for expertise, clarity, and results.
Ownership
& Rights
Once your final invoice is paid, you own the rights to your approved deliverables. Trumpet retains ownership of all preliminary work, unused concepts, and working files.
We may share the finished project in our portfolio, social channels, or award submissions, always with care and credit.
Pauses &
Cancellations
If your project is paused for more than 30 days without communication, a restart fee may apply to cover rescheduling.
If you cancel before completion, all payments made to date are non-refundable. Work completed up to that point will be shared in its current form.
Final Files
& Delivery
When the project wraps, you’ll receive all agreed formats — typically PDF, PNG, SVG, and editable design files.
We recommend saving backups; Trumpet can’t guarantee long-term file storage after delivery.
After Launch
You’ll have two weeks of post-launch support for any small questions or tweaks. For ongoing brand or design support, we can arrange a retainer or follow-up project to help you stay consistent and grow with confidence.
In Closing
You’ve got a brand worth building.
We’re here to make sure it’s seen, felt, and remembered.
Thank you for trusting Trumpet to help your idea take
the stage.
